Eventual Groove was born in 1980 in the small town of in NovoVoronezh, Russia. At an early age he took an interest in the sounds that make us move. At age 10, he began his musical training and at 12, strange electrical devices began appearing in his house: Korg Poly 800, Opus (an analogue synthesizer from the Baltics), and Vermona drum machine that shaped and influenced his future tastes. His first mixes were humbly recorded on dual cassette decks as well as an audio control console. In 1997, he bought a computer for recording and struggled at first. All of the output from this struggle generally was made just for close friends. In 2005, the project “Shape of Eventual Groove” was founded, which transformed into “Eventual Groove”. In 2007, he also founded two side-projects "Basement Jazz Ensemble" and "Ritmatore”. Currently, Eventual Groove is signed to the Dutch label Highlands Music and will be releasing an EP entitled “Primacy Interface” in the near future.
It is hard to put the music of the Amsterdam based artist/producer Oxy-Yan (Jan Hinke -1978) in one category. All of his music, though, has one common denominator: Its origin is electronic.
The fundament for the music produced by Oxy-Yan is based in the early nineties when the Commodore Amiga was launched. Adding a sampler and Protracker software, this computer made it possible to produce music using the four mono tracks available. Soon for Oxy-Yan soon those four tracks proved insufficient to fulfill his creative ideas. Therefore he added hardware, vintage synths, samplers and drum machines to his equipment – forming South Farmer Studios.
In this studio a wide variety of music found its way to the streets and the stages. Like his current productions, the works of Oxy-Yan are influenced by a classical piano background as much as DJ-ing with a broad record collection. He produced from Electrojazz to Techno, from Pop to Breakbeat, and from Dutch Lyrical to Eighties Rock. However, he is probably best known for his bootleg remixes, of which the breakbeat version of Radiohead’s Everything in its right place (released under Jan Hinke) is a great example.
Nowadays, the different styles and influences can still be heard in his projects. The Dutchman takes his listeners on a trip trough his imaginary Land of Sounds. The grooves and melodies of his tracks are full of details and therefore it's a pleasure for IDM/Techno musiclovers to listen to Oxy-Yan's music
Very talented and popular Ukrainian producer Svatoslav Tvardovsky began his music career when his desire to create high quality, positive music became an obsession with connecting his passion for techno music with the people spending the weekend on the dance floors of his hometown of Kiev. His huge efforts did not go unnoticed and within a year his music was not only well known in the local clubs of Kiev but also many points abroad. His original tracks have remixed by established techno producers like Roman Gertz, Kim Kayden, Key900, Mitaka, Aquilions, and appeared on established labels such as Physical Gravity Recordings, Semantica Recordings, GetHigh Music, Sex Panda Records, and Proton Music. All were happy to work with young, hungry producer. His diverse sound touches on techno, house, and progressive styles and at present he has created nearly twenty tracks and an equal amount of remixes, to which Tvardovsky says “this is only the beginning”.
